About
Maritime Kitchen Party (MKP) is named after a well-known tradition in Nova Scotia. We know Maritimers love to party and that usually happens in the kitchen! There's always a guitar playing, or someone belting out traditional songs at the top of their lungs. MKP brings that energy to their live performances with foot-stomping Celtic music and Canadiana. You will hear traditional tunes, Great Big Sea, Stompin' Tom, Blue Rodeo. Tragically Hip and more. They've even done a 3-city tour with former CBC Comedian, Rick Mercer! Throw in some MKP originals, pure Canadiana, rock, country, etc. and the party is "Rarin' to go!"
MKP is available in various formats: Solo, duo with fiddler, trio, quartet and five-piece.
*MKP also performs as a 4-piece Big City playing new country, old country, and much more.
